On Oct. 5, a panel of experts from the healthcare, energy, aerospace and technology industries will convene to talk about Arizona’s knowledge-based economy and its successes.

The inaugural HEAT Forum will spotlight the developments and innovations happening in Arizona and explore how those breakthroughs are impacting the state and changing the world.

The time’s have changed since Arizona’s economy was based around the five C’s — copper, cattle, cotton, citrus and climate — as it has become one of the leading places for innovation in healthcare, energy, aerospace and technology, otherwise known as HEAT. But what do we need to do to strengthen and grow those sectors? The HEAT Forum hopes to answer that question.

Arizona is home to influential institutions and businesses such as the Translational Genomics Research Institute, Orbital ATK, Tallwave and many other innovative firms that are shaping the world, and their industries.
