A Scottsdale-based cybersecurity firm added a former FBI special agent to lead the firm’s forensic and investigative cybersecurity efforts.

WGM added Robert Meshinsky who will serve as the Practice Leader of Forensic Services and Cyber Security Investigations.  Meshinsky and his team will provide technical help and advice to clients – whether they’re handling a cyber-breach or facing a critical cyber incident, or just want to be better prepared against cyber-attacks.

Meshinsky’s career includes more than 20 years in law enforcement serving as a Special Agent with the FBI. As a Special Agent, Meshinsky worked complex criminal, national security and computer intrusion cases.

Meshinsky served as a member of the FBI’s elite Computer Analysis Response Team (CART) for 19 years, including 17 years as the Phoenix Division’s CART Coordinator. As a member of CART, he conducted forensic examinations on seized computers, mobile devices, digital cameras, digital video recorders and digital media across a broad spectrum of investigations conducted by the FBI.

Meshinsky’s background and experience affords WGM clients expert advice on cybersecurity related matters including: incident response, forensics to support litigation and disputes, e-discovery, regulatory production requests and internal investigations.

In addition to serving as leader and mentor of his six-member unit, Meshinsky maintained his own active caseload and served as the Tactical Operations Center team leader for the Phoenix Division FBI SWAT team for more than 17 years. Meshinsky taught several classes at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Va., teaching Computer Forensics and Computer Intrusion to new agents.

Meshinsky is a graduate of the University of San Francisco with a degree in Business Management.
