After the merger between LaneTerralever and the Phoenix office of ad agency Cramer-Krasselt (C-K Phoenix) in November, Ian Barry has been named Chief Creative Officer for LaneTerralever.

Barry will oversee creative direction for the Phoenix-based marketing services agency that, with the addition of all Phoenix-based accounts from C-K.

LaneTerralever says it now ranks first among Phoenix-based agencies and is among the most significant agencies in the southwest and Rocky Mountain regions.

“Our management team believes that Ian has the experience and talent to lead the agency into a new era of creative excellence,” said Beau Lane, CEO of LaneTerralever.

Barry worked at agencies in Atlanta, New York and Richmond before moving to Phoenix to head the creative department at C-K Phoenix in 2000, where he served as senior vice president and executive creative director.

He has worked on campaigns for Aetna, Arizona Science Center, Pala Casino Resort and Spa, Bahamas Tourism, Blue Man Group, Burger King, COX Communications, Crystal Springs, Culligan, Dial, Florida Citrus, Labatt’s, MGM Grand, Monterey CVB, OneAZ Credit Union, RA Sushi, Salt River Project, Stanley Tools, Toyota, University of Phoenix, UPS, Wolfgang Puck, and Zicam.

In his role as CCO, Barry will manage the integration of the agency’s creative, account service, media, digital, user experience, public relations and operations teams to deliver ideas and concepts to clients from an interdisciplinary model where all perspectives are welcomed and valued.

Barry’s work has been featured in Communication Arts, The One Show, OBIE Awards, Effie Awards and National ADDY Awards. He has also judged several advertising award competitions including Communication Arts, ADDY Awards, and OBIE Awards.

He was named Creative Director of the Year at the 2015 Phoenix ADDY Awards.

Barry is a graduate of University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design.
