Melissa Swader, an award-winning valley businesswoman, business mentor, and social media influencer has recently signed her first book deal with Daily House in Reno, Nevada.
Swader stated, “I work with so many different types of professionals all across the country. I am very fortunate to be in a position where not only I am able to help others in business but I am also learning from them in the process. The question I get asked the most is, “Melissa, how do you do it?” The answer is in her new book.
She believes the timing of her book release this year could not come at a better time. “As an entrepreneur, I felt it was time to tell my story as a woman in business,” said the local and nationally recognized press writer. Swader is a Phoenix native, graduate of St. Mary’s High School, former collegiate athlete in women’s basketball at Phoenix College, and an alumnus of Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Not only has she lived in Arizona her entire life, she is also marking her 20th year anniversary in the marketing, design & PR industry as an Arizona business leader.
For the last four years, she has been recognized for her press work covering commercial real estate news and business marketing trends. She has been published on media outlets all across the country and with over a combined 60,000 followers on her social media platforms, she has become one of the most recognizable advocate supporting local businesses here in the valley. Melissa has been able to leverage social media into business opportunities. Swader has organized elite business networking events in the north valley for over 3 years and has helped promote hundreds of business owners through her online magazine publication, Elevate Magazine and on many of her social media forums.
“Those who know me personally know that I am brutally honest, but I am also flamboyant, funny (at least I think I am), sarcastic, feisty and a little sassy at times. My book shows who I am and I do not sugar coat the details to be politically correct. I tell the truth even when people do not want to hear it,” says Swader. “You will discover many insights of the challenges that men and women face within their comfort zone, the diversity & inclusion that does not always exist, and the social changes that have altered some businessmen and women in the way they conduct business.”
What the book will bring are real-life situations and the secrets behind success, the “Melissa-ism way” as her book editor would say. It is very raw and you will get to dive right into the perspective in which she teaches. The book title to be shared at time of publication will be something that will encourage, inspire, motivate and give readers the ability to learn from the trials and errors that Swader has gone through over the last twenty years. Most of all, you will obtain some business and marketing tips to help your business along the way. If you can imagine the 5’1” feisty businesswoman in red high heels walking into a conference room ready to speak with a grin on her face, then you will want to read this book.
The 19-year book editor C. Casanova states, “Melissa Swader is just one of those vibrant entrepreneurs that you just want to know better. In true Melissa style, she shares her secrets to success with a little sass thrown in for good measure. I’m excited about this book because it’s an incredible resource for anyone who wants to be better in business and in life.”
The non-fiction book is slated to be released at the end of the year.
