Maria Thompson, from San Diego, Calif., is a freshman studying broadcast journalism at Arizona State University. Along with interning with AZ Big Media, she is an arts and entertainment writer for the State Press. Upon graduation, Maria hopes to enter the field of foreign correspondence and travel the world.
