88.7 The Pulse is a two-time winner of Best High School Radio Station in the Nation by the prestigious John Drury High School Radio Awards. The Rock-A-Thon is the station’s biggest and most exciting event of the year, uniting current students, alumni, industry professionals, musicians, and local personalities for engaging interviews, live performances, giveaways, and plenty of surprises—all while raising funds to support the future of student-run radio.
“The Rock-A-Thon is a celebration of student creativity and a call to support hands-on media education,” said Michael Mallace, General Manager of 88.7 The Pulse. “It’s fun, fast-paced, and community-driven—and it truly shows what our students are capable of.”
Funds raised will help upgrade aging equipment, maintain station operations, and expand educational opportunities for students in broadcasting and audio production.
