Great things are happening in the nation’s ninth fastest-growing city and the announcement of AC Hotels by Marriott tops the list. The modern, European-inspired hotel with locations around the world has chosen to build in GSQ — Goodyear’s dynamic and rapidly developing new downtown.

The four-story hotel will have 135 modern guest rooms designed for both business and leisure travelers. It will include a lounge, bar, dining options, a business center and an outdoor pool for travelers looking to soak up the Arizona sunshine. With over 1,200 square feet of meeting space, this location will be ideal for business gatherings and small events.

GSQ is being developed in a public-private partnership with the city by Globe Corp., a family-owned business. They’ve owned the land since the 1970s and are working to attract just the right mix of businesses for Goodyear’s downtown which will encompass approximately 150 acres of various high-quality restaurants, storefront shopping, diverse housing options and much more.

AC Hotels will be located in the heart of Goodyear Civic Square at GSQ overlooking the two-acre park and will be steps away from recently opened dining options and night life, including The Stillery, Bacchus Wine Bar and Copper & Sage. The hotel will also complement the nearby Banner Health Center. The hotel is expected to open by the end of 2026 and will attract up to 30 permanent jobs once opened. Other AC Hotels locations in the Valley include in the Biltmore, Downtown Phoenix and Downtown Tempe.
