Gila River hires entertainment powerhouse to bring A-List fun to Arizona

Gila River Resorts & Casinos (GRRC) is thrilled to announce the new hire of Anastasia “A.P.” Palmer Johnson as corporate director of entertainment.

The veteran sports and entertainment executive was hired to develop a robust calendar of concerts and events for the rapidly expanding gaming enterprise. Johnson will oversee the portfolio of venues at all three locations including Vee Quiva, Lone Butte and the flagship Wildhorse Pass, and soon to be open fourth location Santan Mountain.

Prior to joining GRRC, Johnson served as regional director of event sales for Live Nation, the world’s leading live entertainment company. In a newly developed role within the U.S. concerts division of Live Nation, Johnson was responsible for selling private and special events for amphitheaters spanning the coasts from Seattle to Miami and specializing in convention and multi-venue corporate deals.

Lisa Tinnion promoted to VP at Transact Commercial Interiors

Transact Commercial Interiors, a curator of comfortable, efficient and well-engineered furniture, modular walls, and millwork, is pleased to announce it has promoted Lisa Tinnion to Vice President.

Tinnion, who was promoted from Vice President of Business Development, has been with Transact for a little more than one year.

Tinnion’s new responsibilities will include supporting the President by overseeing internal operations (in conjunction with the CFO and Director of Operations) and stepping in when the President is unavailable. She will also work with the President to make significant company decisions along with the management team; oversee all sales, marketing, and business development efforts; work with the Teknion team; and maintain and increase the company brand.

SCS Engineers adds environmental consultants in Phoenix

SCS Engineers, an award-winning environmental consulting firm, is expanding the firm’s Phoenix, Arizona office staff to meet the growing demand for sustainable environmental engineering services. Joining SCS are Stephen Kriley and Cristina Langridge who support the region’s municipalities and businesses by providing solutions that safeguard the environment.

Today’s commercial real estate transactions must consider environmental issues. Complex laws can impose significant environmental liabilities on purchasers, sellers, and lenders, whether or not they caused the problem and whether or not they still own the property.

Kriley conducts Phase I and Phase II environmental investigations and asbestos surveys. He also conducts monitoring at landfills in addition to preparing environmental reports. He brings experience as a staff geologist and previously worked with the Nevada Division of Minerals on protecting the environment surrounding abandoned mines. Kriley earned a Bachelor of Science in earth sciences from the University of California Santa Cruz.

Langridge assists with Phase I and II environmental investigations and reporting in Phoenix and Santa Rosa, California and offers communications services. She has 13 years of marketing, public relations and social media experience. She also has 15 years of customer service and administration experience. Langridge earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication from  Greenville College in Illinois.

REDW taps Brian Grayek as IT and cybersecurity consulting director

In this newly created national role, Grayek will grow the firm’s Cybersecurity consulting practice to help clients assess and adapt IT operations to better protect, elevate and empower their organizations. Based in Phoenix, Grayek will travel to the REDW offices in Albuquerque and Oklahoma City to further develop the practice and help clients to identify and achieve crucial security goals.
