Lindsay Fiore
Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig
Background: Lindsay Fiore is an experienced trial lawyer defending employers against single- and multi-plaintiff employment cases. She regularly defends clients against claims related to age, race, gender, and disability discrimination, as well as sexual harassment, hostile work environment, retaliation, whistleblower allegations, the Family Medical Leave Act, and wage and hour issues. Lindsay also represents employers in suits brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and has defended employers against unfair labor practice charges. She often litigates employment-related tort and contract claims, including defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of contract, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and intentional interference with contract/business relations.
Source of pride: “In my first jury trial as first chair, I obtained a complete defense verdict for my client. It was an enormous amount of responsibility. I am proud of how I handled that pressure, as well as my management of the case and my teammates, who were essential to our success.”
Professional advice: “Seek and accept constructive criticism. No one shows up on day 1 already a success. The people providing you feedback do so because they want you to be your best self – not to put you down or make you feel bad. Be open to and grateful for all of it.”
Spirit animal: “I actually took a quiz to answer this! I got dolphin, which absolutely fits. I am pretty easygoing (for a lawyer, anyway) and prefer harmony over drama in my life. I love to be around others, and I try to find the good in everyone. Plus, I love the beach!”
