FirstBank, one of the nation’s largest privately held banks, today announced a video contest that will award a $20,000 cash prize and personalized marketing campaign to two grand prize winners. With FirstBank’s tagline of ‘banking for good’ in mind, entrants are asked to submit a video demonstrating how they “do good.”

Here’s how the contest works:

• For-profit businesses in Colorado and Maricopa County, Ariz., are encouraged to submit a two-minute video via explaining how their organization is committed to positively impacting customers, communities, or employees.

• The bank will accept submissions from Oct. 1-24, after which five finalists will be selected from each market.

• After the finalists are identified, a popular vote will determine two grand prize winners and two runners-up. Anyone with a Facebook account will be able to cast a vote from Nov. 5-10, at

• One winner and one runner-up will be selected from Colorado and Maricopa County, Ariz., and announced on Tuesday, Nov. 13. 

“Businesses that make community involvement a key part of their company identity deserve to be recognized, celebrated and supported,” said Jim Reuter, CEO of FirstBank. “We created the $20K Good Business Giveaway to do just that, and we’re eager to share these organizations’ inspiring stories.” 

In addition to winning $20,000, FirstBank will work with grand prize winners to promote and feature their business on a variety of online, email, and social channels as part of a larger effort to bring awareness to their organization and help grow their customer-base.
