Fennemore Craig, one of the largest law firms in the Southwest, announced that Kendis Key Muscheid, a director at Fennemore Craig in the firm’s Phoenix office, has been elected to the Board of Directors for UMOM New Day Centers.
Muscheid focuses her legal practice in the areas of nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, charitable trusts, and state and local taxation. Muscheid represents a wide array of non-profit organizations, those exempt under Section 501(c)(3) and other sections, advising them on matters including organizational structure, qualification for tax exemption, maintaining tax exempt status, charitable solicitations and registrations, endowment building and management, governance issues, and unrelated business income taxes. Muscheid also represents organizations in audits and appeals before the IRS and state and local governmental agencies.
