Brookfield Communities has implemented a “Supporting Our Neighbors” fundraising effort to assist with relief efforts for the Yarnell community after the devastating fire destroyed the northern Arizona community and killed 19 firefighters.

Beginning Monday, July 15 and through August 31, Brookfield Communities will donate $1,000 from each house the company sells at both its Fox Creek master-planned community in Bullhead City and its Verde Santa Fe master-plan near Sedona in the Verde Valley.

The funds raised will go directly to the Yarnell Community Presbyterian Church. They have established a special account to accept donations to help Yarnell and Peeples Valley residents as they return to their homes.

“This fire has impacted so many families – it’s been devastating,” said Phil Petersen, founder and president of Brookfield Communities. “It’s important to us to support our neighboring communities and help those affected by the fire. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire community.”

With each home sale in either of Brookfield’s two communities, $1,000 will be donated. Additionally, Fox Creek and Verde Santa Fe residents can show their support and donate as well by visiting the sales office in each community. All proceeds collected will be provided to Yarnell Community Presbyterian Church in September.
