Never before has a city been the inspiration for so many songs, movies and theatre productions.  The Phoenix Boys Choir pays homage to the muse for screen writers, play writers and songwriters at the Spring Pops Concert “PBC LOVES NYC” on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 7:30pm at Virginia G. Piper Performing Arts Center at Xavier College Preparatory (4710 North 5th Street, Phoenix). Advance Tickets: $27/preferred, $22/general admission, $17/seniors, youth (12 & under). All tickets $25 at the door.

Whether you live on Main Street or Broadway, uptown, midtown, or downtown, the countless songs inspired by this great American city are not only familiar, but are a part of our national culture and identity.  Take a musical tour of The Big Apple with the Phoenix Boys Choir and hear music from songwriters like Alan Menken, George M. Cohan, Stephen Sondheim, and the Bee Gees. You’ll even hear a tune from Alicia Keys. We’ll travel on Broadway through Manhattan, over the Brooklyn Bridge, hop through Harlem, lay down some beats in the Bronx, dance down 42nd Street, climb aboard the “A” Train, and stroll the sidewalks from the East Side to the West Side, and all around the town!
