Alexandra Morehouse has been appointed Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer for Banner Health, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health systems. Morehouse will join Banner on August 31st.

In previous positions, Morehouse has created a track-record of driving revenue growth with special expertise in building consumer preference and demand through traditional and digital media.

Prior to joining Banner, Morehouse served as Customer & Brand Evangelist for the Kaiser Permanente Health Plan in California. Her experience with Kaiser will fit well with the emergence of the Banner Health Network that now serves nearly a half-million people in various private and government health plans.

“The development of networks by health systems is a major factor in the tremendous change that health care has been experiencing over the past few years,” said Ron Bunnell, Banner’s Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Vice President. “This change has greatly increased the influence of consumer choice, so we’re very excited to add the skill-set in consumer-direct marketing as well as the leadership that Alex will bring to Banner.”

Morehouse previously spent 11 years at the American Automobile Association as Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to her role at AAA, she served as Chief Marketing Information Officer of Charles Schwab.

“I’m extremely pleased to join a leading health care organization like Banner Health,” said Morehouse. “We have a great story to tell, and I’m especially excited by the abundance of opportunities we’ll have to engage consumers with the Banner brand.”

Morehouse received her Bachelor of Arts at Harvard University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She was recognized in 2014 by the Wall Street Journal with a “Marketers that Matter” award, and in 2008, 2009 and 2010 was named among the “Most Influential Women in Business” by the San Francisco Business Times.
