Lewis Roca Rothgerber LLP has announced that Amy E. Altshuler will lead the firm’s business transactions practice group, a strategic focus area for the firm that includes banking and regulatory compliance, commercial real estate, executive compensation and employee benefits, M&A, securities and regulatory compliance, tax and trusts & estates.

Lewis Roca Rothgerber’s business transactions group is comprised of approximately 50 attorneys across the firm’s nine markets. Altshuler succeeds Lew Schorr, who served as the business transactions practice group leader for six years. Schorr will return his focus to his active commercial real estate practice.

Altshuler is a partner in the real estate group whose practice focuses on complex commercial real estate matters. Her experience includes commercial leasing (with an emphasis on restaurant, retail and industrial transactions), debt and equity financing, land acquisition/disposition and development, joint venture and master lease structured transactions. She represents clients on all sides of these types of transactions, including restaurants, retailers, developers, private schools and insurance companies.

Altshuler is listed in the 2013-2015 editions of The Best Lawyers in America©, by Woodward/White, Aiken, S.C. in the category of Real Estate Law. She was recognized as the 2011 Professional Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women. In 2011 and 2013, she was one of 30 attorneys recognized by Arizona Commercial Real Estate Magazine in the annual “People to Know in Commercial Real Estate” issue. Altshuler is the board chair for the Arizona region of the Anti-Defamation League.
