Jennings, Haug & Cunningham announced that Joseph Brophy has been appointed by Gov. Doug Ducey to the Arizona Veterans’ Service Advisory Commission for a three-year term.
The Commission’s mission is to promote public awareness and enhance the well-being of past and present Arizona service members and their families. With over half a million veterans in the State of Arizona, the Arizona Veterans’ Service Commission works to ensure that those who have served will always have access to the services and support they have earned. Members of the commission are appointed by the Governor and provide policy advice regarding veterans’ issues. Arizona has provided services to Arizona Veterans through the Arizona Veterans’ Service Commission since 1951.
Mr. Brophy, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, is partner with the firm’s commercial litigation practice, focusing on complex business disputes, creditors’ rights, fidelity and surety law, bankruptcy and insurance defense. He is also a member of the: State Bar of Arizona, American Bar Association, Tort & Insurance Practice Section, Fidelity & Surety Law Committee, and Surety Association of Arizona. Mr. Brophy received his bachelor’s degree from University of San Diego and earned his law degree from University of San Diego School of Law.
