Fisher & Phillips LLP announced Tuesday that Super Lawyers Magazine has named Shayna Balch, partner, to its 2016 Southwest Super Lawyers and Rising Stars listing. This marks the fifth year in a row that the labor and employment attorney has received the unique accolade.
Super Lawyers rates outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual listing to determine the state’s Super Lawyers is made using a multiphase process that includes a survey, independent research and peer reviews. As part of the review process, no more than five percent of attorneys are further bestowed the additional honor of Rising Star.
“Being recognized with the Rising Star honor is a testament to Shayna’s dedication to her clients and to the exemplary practice of law,” said Pavneet Uppal, managing partner of Fisher & Phillips’ Phoenix office. “We are incredibly proud of Shayna and the outstanding example she is setting.”
Balch, who earned her law degree as one of the youngest juris doctor graduates at only 22 years of age, was named partner at the firm and handles matters across all facets of labor and employment law including; employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, restrictive covenants, preventive counseling, employee training, personnel policies, and employment agreements. Balch received her law degree from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers Magazine.
