The law firm of Gallagher & Kennedy announced that Shannon L. Clark has been elected to the firm’s Board of Directors. Mr. Clark joins current Board members Michael Kennedy, Dean Short, Kevin O’Malley and Tim Brown.
“As the youngest member of the Board, Shannon will represent an important constituency of our shareholders and play a key role in shaping the future of the firm,” said Managing Partner Dean Short.
As a shareholder with the firm, Mr. Clark focuses his practice in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases. His diverse experience includes products liability, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical and professional malpractice, elder abuse, commercial trucking, police misconduct, construction site accidents and insurance bad faith. He is a fierce advocate for the rights of his clients and possesses a compassion and sensitivity to the human element of each of the personal injury cases he handles.
Mr. Clark has been with Gallagher & Kennedy’s Personal Injury & Wrongful Death practice group since joining the firm in 2000. Since then, he has gained extensive experience through his involvement in many high-profile cases for clients Gallagher & Kennedy’s Personal Injury & Wrongful Death practice has represented. His experience has allowed him to establish his own track record of success in personal injury law along with expertise in appellate law.
Mr. Clark has earned recognition among his peers through the receipt of the Martindale-Hubbell® AV Peer Review Rating, the Best Lawyer Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs (2012-2014) ranking by Best Lawyers in America® and a Rising Star designation by Southwest Super Lawyers (2012-2013). He has also been recognized as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by The National Trial Lawyers (2012-2013), was selected by peers for membership in Arizona’s Finest Lawyers, and was a “Forty Under 40” honoree by the Phoenix Business Journal (2013).
A member of the State Bar of Arizona, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona, Mr. Clark is also a member of The American Association for Justice and the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association. He has served for more than eight years on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, serving as Board Chairman from 2010-2011. He has authored several works for the Arizona Tort Law Handbook, is a frequent speaker on personal injury and product liability subjects and has been an adjunct professor at Arizona Summit Law School (formerly Phoenix School of Law) from 2012 to the present.
Mr. Clark earned his J.D., with honors, in 1999 from Duke University and his B.A., with distinction, in 1996 from Cornell University.
