Polsinelli’s Michael Patterson has been elected to serve on the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations (PCFR) Board of Directors.
PCFR is a non-profit, non-partisan, membership organization dedicated to positioning metro Phoenix as a major regional and international center.
“PCFR plays a critical role in helping to promote a better understanding of global trends, improving policy making, fostering communication on critical international issues, and promoting collaboration among international organizations in Arizona,” said Patterson, an international business attorney who has assisted clients across the world. “I look forward to helping PCFR continue to raise awareness of international developments and opportunities that affect our business community.”
Patterson actively volunteers his time with a number of organizations including serving as co-vice chair of the Business Section of the State Bar of Arizona, as a board member of the Arizona Center for International Visitors, and as a representative to Multi-law American’s Regional Council and Business Development Council.
He is also an active member of the Arizona International Lawyers Group, Global Chamber, the Greater Phoenix Economic Council’s International Leadership Council Ambassador Steering Committee, the Governor’s Arizona-Mexico Commission, the Arizona Business Council, the Canada Arizona Business Council, and the Arizona Aerospace and Defense Association.
Earlier this year, Polsinelli was selected as the recipient of the 2016 Export Service Provider of the Year Award – Private Sector, a distinction presented by Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and the City of Phoenix.
The firm was recognized for its “tireless generosity in supporting every aspect of export and international related activities in the City of Phoenix and the State of Arizona.” Polsinelli has a team of attorneys nationwide that handle international and cross-border matters for clients with business needs in the areas of corporate structuring and planning, tech transfer, financing, securities offerings, product manufacturing, intellectual property protection, import/export trade and compliance.
