The Walton Group of Companies, a Canadian company with U.S. headquarters in Scottsdale, has hired Ed Hadley as president of the Southwest Region for Walton Development and Management, Inc.

Hadley’s responsibilities include overseeing entitlement and development activities in Arizona and California for new and existing residential, commercial and industrial projects. He also collaborates with regional agencies, government representatives, landowners and other stakeholders, and manages the land-acquisition and disposition process.

Hadley, a Tucson native, joins Walton from William Lyons Homes, where he was vice president of land acquisition for the Arizona Division.  His diverse real estate industry career includes time spent in both the commercial and residential sides of the market in the disciplines of brokerage, finance, residential and commercial project management, planning and entitlements, and land acquisition and disposition. He has been involved in the planning, entitlement and horizontal development of more than 10,000 residential lots throughout his homebuilding career.

“Ed’s well-rounded background and wealth of industry experience are a perfect match for Walton as we move forward with developing meaningful places where people will live, work and play in Arizona and California,” said Rob Leinbach, president, Walton International Group. Walton has more than 10,000 acres under management in Arizona and 1,500 acres in California.

Hadley holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Northern Arizona University and attended the University of Arizona. Active in the community, he also is a member of the Urban Land Institute, The ASU Real Estate Council, Desert Valleys Builder Association, and a board member of Pinal Partnership and TREO. He is also a licensed broker in the State of Arizona.
