Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) has expanded its property management expertise with the hiring of Debra Schooler as associate director based in Phoenix. Ms. Schooler, who brings 20 years of commercial real estate industry experience to her new position, will oversee management operations for a diverse real estate portfolio in Arizona and will team with local leadership to further develop the company’s investor services platform in that market.
In addition, Ms. Schooler will serve as NGKF’s national healthcare practice leader for property management services, answering clients’ growing demand for healthcare real estate services. In this role, she will partner with the Global Healthcare Services team, developing and deploying a further enhanced national healthcare platform through integrated management services, and ensuring the company is best positioned to meet the needs of clients in this rapidly growing industry sector.

Most recently, Ms. Schooler served as the south/southwest director of operations for a national publicly-traded healthcare REIT. In this position, she successfully developed and implemented property management policies and procedures to prepare for the transition of a 12.5 million-square-foot medical real estate portfolio spanning 27 states to an in-house management platform. Previously, she was a regional asset manager with responsibility for a 2.5-million-square-foot medical portfolio which included a TOBY-award winning medical property.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Schooler worked as a third-party portfolio manager for such companies as PM Realty Group, Montecito Medical Management and Transwestern/Voit. She holds an Arizona real estate license.
