Peter Fine makes list of ‘100 Most Influential People in Healthcare’

This week Modern Healthcare released its 2019 list of ‘100 Most Influential People in Healthcare.’ For a seventh year, Banner Health President & CEO Peter Fine has been named to the list.

In its eighteenth year, the recognition program acknowledges and honors individuals who are deemed by their peers and the senior editors of Modern Healthcare to be the most influential individuals in the industry, in terms of leadership and impact.

“I am honored to receive this distinguished recognition,” said Fine. “It is a reflection of the exceptional care and hard work of our clinicians, support staff and leadership. They are the reason Banner Health is represented among the top leaders of the health care industry.”

Over the past few years, Fine has led strategic moves to reposition Banner for the future in multiple areas, including: integrating an academic enterprise in partnership with the University of Arizona, expanding Banner’s footprint in population health, partnering with Aetna on a commercial insurance product, growing its portfolio of ambulatory companies and greatly expanding the geography of Banner’s Medicaid plan. These changes, while continuing to mature, are elevating Banner Health as an integrated health system with the scope, scale, agility and customer focus to respond to a dynamic health care environment.

Fine ranked No. 60 on the 2019 list of ‘100 Most Influential People in Healthcare.’ The complete ranking is a main feature in this week’s issue of Modern Healthcare magazine, and a feature article and profiles of the winners are available at www.ModernHealthcare.com/100MostInfluential
