On the move at Caliente Construction, Hughes, Tempe Chamber

Caliente Construction bolsters expertise with 2 hires

Caliente Construction, an Arizona-based general contractor providing commercial construction services in the Western U.S. for almost 30 years, announces the hiring of a vice president of operations and a director of retail services.

Steve McKendry, VP of operations, will be an integral part of Caliente’s day-to-day operations focusing on the company’s growth, while providing leadership and direction. Chris Cruthis will manage the operations and expansion of Caliente’s national retail business.

McKendry joins Caliente after three years at Kraus-Anderson Construction as its vice president of field operations. He also served as senior regional pre-construction manager for Target Corporation.

“As a third-generation builder/developer, construction is in Steve’s DNA and we are so excited to add his experience and expertise to our team,” said Caliente President/CEO Lorraine Bergman.

Hughes promotes Dani Durnal Gomez

Hughes Federal Credit Union announces the promotion of Dani Durnal Gomez as Marketing Manager, Business Development and Community Relations. Durnal Gomez reports to the VP Marketing at Hughes, Kellie Terhune Neely. 

Durnal Gomez first joined Hughes in 2015 as a Business Development Representative, and she held that position until her promotion. She has been recently recognized by the 40 Under 40 Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce 2017, 20 Under 40 Mountain West Credit Union Association 2017 and Top 30 Millennials by AZ Big Media. Durnal Gomez serves on the Vail Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Marana Chamber of Commerce Membership Committee, Tucson Metro Chamber Ambassador Committee, Tucson Young Professionals Philanthropy Committee and more.

Tempe Chamber hires Ariyanna Norman

The Tempe Chamber of Commerce has hired Ariyanna Norman, an Arizona State graduate and event enthusiast, to serve as the Marketing and Event Coordinator. Norman will use online platforms and graphic design to promote the organization’s initiatives and assist with the creation and execution of events.

Norman graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2013. Since then, she has worked with several small businesses to establish and grow their online presence through creating content and managing websites and social media pages.
