Jaburg Wilk expands insurance law practice

The law firm of Jaburg Wilk announced that Alden A. Thomas joined the firm as an associate attorney in their insurance coverage and bad faith and construction defect litigation groups.

Before joining Jaburg Wilk, Alden represented clients in insurance coverage and civil litigation.  Prior to starting private practice, Alden clerked for Justice Patricia Orozco of the Arizona Court of Appeals. 

“I’m very excited that Alden has joined the firm and our insurance law group,” said Insurance Law Practice Group Leader Nate Meyer.  “Her insurance coverage experience and her clerkship provide our clients with additional insurance depth and expertise as well as excellent writing.”  

Alden received her J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.  She is admitted in Arizona.

Gorman hired at Bell Mortgage

Molly Gorman has been hired as loan officer assistant at Bell Mortgage, located at 4435 East Chandler Boulevard in Phoenix. In her new position, Gorman will coordinate marketing events, social media, and assist with the loan submission process.

Originally from Omaha, Neb., Gorman attended Seton Catholic Prep and Ottawa University. Her previous careers including teaching and assistant director of admissions.

Gorman lives in Tempe, Ariz., with her husband, Patrick, and their three children.

Founded by early Minneapolis civic leader David C. Bell in 1880, Bell Mortgage now has thousands of family mortgages to its name and offices in Phoenix as well as the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.

Eric Best joins DollarDays board of directors

DollarDays, an e-commerce marketplace for high value, low-cost goods and products today announced the appointment of Eric Best to its new board of directors. Best is the CEO and Founder of SoundCommerce and the former CEO and Founder of Mercent, which was acquired by CommerceHub, a subsidiary of Liberty Interactive Corporation).

Prior to founding SoundCommerce, which provides strategy, capital and technology to growing consumer brands, Best was the Chief Strategy Officer of CommerceHub, a distributed commerce network connecting supply, demand and delivery that helps retailers and brands increase sales. Earlier in his career, Best was at Amazon and focused on marketplace product and business development. He currently serves as a Board of Director for the community barter site, ITEX, and is a Strategic Advisor for the marketing software company, Amperity. Best also previously served on the board for UBarter.com.
