Jaburg Wilk expands commercial law practice
The law firm of Jaburg Wilk announced that Corrinne Viola joined the firm as an attorney in their commercial litigation groups. Before joining Jaburg Wilk, Cori represented clients assisting with commercial collections, creditors’ rights litigation, employment law, and commercial litigation.
“She is a solid addition to our litigation team,” said managing partner Gary Jaburg. “Cori’s commercial litigation experience provides additional depth to our commercial litigation group.”
Cori received her J.D. from University of Kansas School of Law and her undergraduate from the University of Kansas. She is admitted to practice in Arizona.
Jennings Strouss attorney appointed to commission
Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, P.L.C., a leading Phoenix-based law firm, congratulated Sarah E. Epperson on her appointment as a 2019-2020 District 8 Commissioner for the City of Phoenix Arts and Culture Commission.
The City of Phoenix Arts and Culture Commission is an advisory body to the Mayor and City Council, City Manager, and the Office of Arts and Culture. It is made up of a diverse group of citizen volunteers with a particular area of focus on policymaking and financial recommendations for public art and grant investments for the City. The Commission is a critical voice in promoting the importance and value of arts and culture experiences for all Phoenix residents. It advocates for continued public funding for the arts and culture sector, arts education, cultural diversity, and other initiatives that further the growth and sustainability of the creative sector in Phoenix and the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.
“It is such an honor to be appointed to the City of Phoenix Arts and Culture Commission,” said Epperson. “I am truly looking forward to working with the Commission to promote the arts in our community.”
Heasley&Partners founder honored
Heasley Arizona-based branding firm HEASLEY&PARTNERS announced today that its founder and president, Kathy DeGrandi Heasley was named a 2019 Penn State Alumni Fellow recently by the Penn State University Alumni Association, for her revolutionary Heart & Mind Branding method, her professional accomplishments and her efforts to guide students and assist faculty at Penn State’s top-ranked Bellisario College of Communications.
Heasley was honored, along with 14 others at an award ceremony at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center on the Penn State Campus at University Park. Less than 1% of the 700,000 Penn State alumni scattered around the globe, have been named a Penn State Alumni Fellow. Heasley was nominated by the Bellisario College and was confirmed by the university’s selection committee which consists of among others, the provost of the University, an academic dean and chancellor, the vice president for development and alumni relations, the vice president of university relations, chair of the Alumni Council Awards Committee, and the CEO of the Penn State Alumni Association.
“It is an incredible thrill to be honored and extremely humbling to be in the company of so many distinguished achievers who also were named in 2019.” The winners included leaders in a variety of industries including business, public policy, medicine, science who are all leaders in their fields.
Miramonte welcomes back John Angelini
Miramonte Homes announced the return of its long- time sales and marketing leader John Angelini as Northern Arizona Division Vice Present of Sales and Designated Broker for Miramonte Homes.

Torres Consulting & Law Group welcomes Mark Cardenas
Mark Cardenas has joined the government relations team at Torres Consulting & Law Group (TCLG) as a legislative affairs specialist. He will assist clients at the local, state, and national level in building productive relationships with policy makers and stakeholders that further their missions.
Cardenas served in the Arizona House of Representatives (LD 19) from 2013 through 2019. During his time at the Legislature, he worked with Republicans and Democrats to expand AHCCCS coverage, pass legislation that protected homeowners from theft, and preserve $50 million in public safety funding for the City of Phoenix. He worked with local school districts to address child neglect and abuse, fought for services for people experiencing homelessness, secured funding to hire additional public defenders, and championed the effort to clean up polluted groundwater in South Phoenix.

Prior to his tenure in the Legislature, Cardenas served eight years in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. He was deployed to Iraq where he earned an Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and Combat Action Badge.
