Sundt promotes Teri Jones

Teri Jones has been promoted to President of the Building Group for Sundt Construction, Inc.

Jones brings nearly 40 years of experience in the construction industry to her new position. She joined Sundt in 2000 as a Principal in Charge for the Sacramento Region, and today she is the company’s highest-ranking female executive. In 2006 she was promoted to Business Development Manager for California, and in 2016, was promoted to Senior Vice President, Building Group Manager, a group that has flourished under her leadership. The Building Group is responsible for more than $800 million of work this year across California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Under her leadership the company’s building revenue grew by over 50 percent. 

“Teri has achieved many important accomplishments as a leader at Sundt,” said G. Michael Hoover, Sundt’s President, CEO and Chairman of the Board. “She took three separate districts and merged them into one cohesive Group made up of almost 400 people and 78 active projects.  Now that she has been empowered with greater mastery, autonomy and purpose, I expect she will continue to bring continual success to the organization.”

Jones has developed expertise in nearly every aspect of construction while advancing through multiple positions during her career, including estimator, project manager, project executive, owner’s representative, inspector, district manager and CEO of her own construction company.

Food for the Hungry names Mike Meyers CEO

Mike Meyers has been named CEO of Phoenix-based international nonprofit Food for the Hungry, effective October 1, 2018. Current President and CEO Gary Edmonds will continue to serve as the organization’s president until the end of April 2019, working closely with Meyers during this period to ensure a seamless transition.

Edmonds joined Food for the Hungry four years ago, and in that time has led the organization through a period of tremendous growth, doubling children’s sponsorships since 2015, deepening relationships with partners, and nurturing leadership within the organization, including new CEO Mike Meyers.

“I want to thank Gary for his mentorship,” said Meyers. “I have learned so much from this great man over the past four years. It has been a joy to walk alongside Gary as he unfolded his vision for FH and put in place new ways for us to work together. I am humbled and honored to lead Food for the Hungry as we continue to go to the hard places and work toward ending all forms of human poverty worldwide, one community at a time.”

Meyers joined Food for the Hungry in 2012 and has served as chief development officer for the last four years. In this position, he led the global strategic development plan for the organization and helped to double child sponsorship and increase overall donor support for Food for the Hungry’s life-changing work in some of the poorest countries around the world.

James Evans joins Jones, Skelton & Hochuli

Jones, Skelton & Hochuli, PLC announced the addition of experienced trial attorney James Evans. During his 36-year career, Jim has served as lead counsel in more than 100 jury trials. He is experienced in all areas of litigation, focusing primarily in the areas of wrongful death and personal injury, and construction litigation. Jim also served as a judge pro tem for more than 15 years, providing him with a unique perspective, both in front of a jury and behind the bench, and served as the Chairman of the Governor’s Task Force on Tort Reform (relating to claims against governmental entities). Jim joins the firm as Of Counsel in our General Liability & Auto Trial Group.

Jim is a Certified Specialist in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death designated by the State Bar of Arizona. Since 1979, Jim has been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and has been a Southwest Super Lawyer since 2010.

Banner|Aetna Names Jason Renne as EVP

Banner|Aetna, the Arizona health care companies owned by Banner Health and Aetna, announced that Jason Renne will join its growing leadership team as executive vice president, effective immediately.

“Jason will be an integral part of the Banner|Aetna leadership team,” said Tom Grote, CEO of Banner|Aetna. “We will be looking to his expertise to drive growth and develop partnerships that are aligned with our focus to improve the member experience.”

In this new role, Renne will be working with both Banner|Aetna and the Aetna Medicare team to develop strategies and foster strategic partnerships to drive growth for both organizations. In addition to providing leadership over a number of key strategic initiatives, Renne will directly oversee network operations and strategy for Banner|Aetna and Aetna Medicare.

Prior to joining the Banner|Aetna team, Renne was chief strategic partnership officer at Geisinger Health Plan (GHP). Prior to this role, he held the roles of director of provider network management and vice president of network operations at GHP. His experience also includes roles with HealthAmerica and Kaiser of the Middle Atlantic States, where he led many critical provider network management initiatives.

Vixxo names new chief human resources officer

Vixxo, a facilities management leader focused on providing a seamless, intuitive experience for a vast portfolio of brands across North America, has named René Bonin as senior vice president, chief human resources officer. In her new role, René is responsible for establishing and implementing a human resources roadmap as well as strategies to support Vixxo’s growth, including overseeing leadership development and performance management, and enhancing the associate experience. She reports to Vixxo President & CEO, Jim Reavey.
