Plaza Companies Expands And Strengthens Leasing Services With New Team Member
Plaza Companies has added a seasoned real estate professional to its leasing services team to expand the company’s depth and expertise.
Melynn Wakeman joins the Plaza team as vice president of Brokerage Services, and will be responsible for commercial real estate transactions as a Landlord Representative. She will perform market analysis, landlord monthly reports, marketing plans and assists in capital budgeting for a multitude of properties. She will also negotiate lease renewals, expansions and relocations.
Prior to joining Plaza Companies, Wakeman was manager, Network Real estate Leasing & Property Management for John C. Lincoln Health Network, director for Edge Commercial Real Estate Advisors and served as manager of the Pulmonary Services Division for Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale.
She also served as associate vice president for GPE Commercial Advisors, participating in a three-person medical office leasing team. During that time she participated in a medical brokerage team with a focus on tenant representation.
Wakeman graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelors of Science and is affiliated with many respectable local Boards such as the American Association for Respiratory Care, Arizona Society for Respiratory Care, Coalition of a Smoke Free State, Corenet Global Desert Mountain Chapter, and Toastmasters.
Sharon Harper, President & CEO of Plaza Companies, said the addition of Wakeman will only solidify Plaza’s reputation for providing the best in leasing and sales services.
“Melynn has a very successful track record in the commercial real estate industry, and specifically in the medical real estate,” she said. “Her background in leasing, sales, and tenant representation will be a crucial asset to Plaza Companies as we continue to expand our presence in the statewide marketplace.”
“I am pleased to have the opportunity to further my career by joining such a well-established company within the commercial real estate business,” Wakeman said. “The Plaza team already has a robust portfolio and I am very much looking forward to working with and contributing to the team.”
