Shea Homes Arizona announced the hiring of Don Murphy as the new Division President, replacing Buddy Satterfield who retired in December after 23 years with Shea Homes.
“The depth of real estate knowledge and experience Buddy has helped make Shea Homes a leading homebuilder in the Valley. He made a huge difference in the growth of Shea Homes in Arizona and we wish him the best in the next chapter of his life,” said Bert Selva, President and CEO of Shea Homes.

Don originally joined Shea Homes Active Adult in February 2002 where he acquired $1.4 billion worth of property and 14 thousand home sites during his tenure. He lived in Arizona and held various positions including Vice President of Acquisitions, and also served as interim Area Vice President for the division’s Northern California operations. In 2005, Don was selected to lead the Sacramento division and was successful establishing Shea Homes there.
Don holds a bachelor’s degree from the School of Journalism at the University of Oregon and an MBA from Arizona State University. Don, his wife, and their two daughters are looking forward to their move back to the Phoenix area.
