Former morning anchor and chief journalist at KPHO/CBS5, Patrick McReynolds joined education nonprofit group, Stand for Children Arizona, as its marketing and communications director.
“Patrick’s 24-year career has focused on storytelling around the globe, and we’re excited to have him on the team,” said Executive Director Rebcca Gau. “His passion for education and children make him well-suited to our cause and commitment to Arizona’s youth and educational opportunities.”
Prior to joining Stand for Children Arizona, he spent more than two decades as a broadcast journalist, tracking stories all over the country and around the world, notably from Iraq and New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.
McReynolds’ work earned him three Emmys and an Edward R. Murrow award for reporting and anchoring.
“Working at Stand for Children Arizona is an enormous opportunity to combine my media experience with my passion for improving our surrounding communities, specifically when it comes to increasing opportunities for children,” McReynolds said. “I’m honored to join in Stand’s mission and work to ensure children in Arizona can better learn and grow through education.”
