Steven Spalding, MD, has joined Phoenix Children’s Hospital as Chief Clinical Integration and Medical Officer (CCIMO). In this role, Dr. Spalding will provide strategic direction in partnership with the leadership of Phoenix Children’s, the Phoenix Children’s Medical Group and the Phoenix Children’s Care Network in the development and execution of a comprehensive, system-wide strategy to support their enterprise transformation to value-based reimbursement care.
Prior to joining Phoenix Children’s, Dr. Spalding served as medical director of business intelligence for the Cleveland Clinic. He provided leadership and direction to the development of physician alignment strategies, leveraging data and analytical tools to promote quality outcomes, improve patient experience, and enhance operational and clinical efficiencies across the Cleveland Clinic enterprise. Dr. Spalding’s efforts in data and analytics also played a significant role in the creation of collaborations with quality and value between independent providers and the employed Cleveland Clinic physicians.
Dr. Spalding has also served as the director of clinical research for Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital and as the director for the Center of Pediatric Rheumatology. He is married with four children.
