(NYSE:AVT), a leading global technology distributor, announced that MaryAnn Miller, senior vice president, chief human resources officer and corporate communications, was named among the National Diversity Council’s 2015 Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology. The National Diversity Council’s list features the highest-ranking female executive leadership in America’s corporations. This is the second consecutive year Miller has received this prestigious recognition.
The National Diversity Council, a non-profit organization, committed to fostering a learning environment for organizations to grow in their knowledge of diversity and inclusion, issues a list of the Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology every year. The list comprises leaders who directly contribute to the business growth or strategic direction of their organizations while operating with the highest integrity and ethical behavior. These women are role models and active mentors to the next generation of female professionals in their industries.

Miller has more than 25 years of experience in human resources and operations management. Since joining Avnet in 2006, she has made significant contributions to Avnet’s operations, including an integral organizational development initiative that works to attract, develop, engage and reward employees. In addition to her responsibilities as chief human resources officer, Miller oversees corporate communications and their strategic alignment to Avnet’s overall enterprise initiatives.
