Today’s spotlight: Jill Hegardt

Title: Vice president of entitlements, DMB Associates

Hegardt is vice president at DMB Associates. Prior to DMB, she worked in the public sector including working as the planning director for Maricopa County.  She has been involved in the community serving in leadership positions on many boards and is currently the chair for Valley Partnership and Ballet Arizona.

Source of pride:Having worked in both the public and private sectors and having the opportunity work on many significant development projects and public policy issues over the years, my most satisfying accomplishments have been when I’ve been able to help people solve their problems and achieve their goals.”

The personality trait that helped you succeed:Being a good listener has always been effective for me.  Listening and understanding what people want has been key to accomplishing my goals.”

The personality trait that got you into trouble:Most definitely procrastination. It drives my husband crazy!”

Best childhood memory:Spending summers in Minnesota with my sisters, which among many things included catching fireflies, making up songs, running through fields, fishing and basically having the freedom to roam, be creative and listen to wise advice from Grandma Clara.”
