Chad Shindel
Executive vice president, chief financial officer and general partner
United Planners Financial Services of America
Background: Prior to joining United Planners in 2017, Shindel worked as an auditor with Moss Adams and as a corporate accounting manager with STORE Capital. He graduated from Arizona State University with a fine arts degree in photography and a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and currently holds his CPA and CGMA designations.
Path to success: “I actually pursued an art degree to begin with, but as life went on, I realized it’s nice to have something that pays the bills and a job in accounting does that. I was always numbers oriented. For all practical purposes, I’d been keeping the books for my father’s business since since I was a child, so it was just a natural progression. I love numbers, I love detail and I love being meticulous. So it was the right fit for me. ”
