KJZZ Friends of Public Radio Arizona (FPRAZ) has announced the election of its 2012 slate of officers.
Those elected are: chairman of the board, Mark Dioguardi, partner in the local business boutique law firm of Dioguardi Flynn LLP; vice chair, Michael Moskowitz, managing director of Ensemble DevMan of Arizona; treasurer, Steve Curley, senior vice president of Alliance Bank of Arizona; and secretary, Laura Martin, director of Science Interpretation Arizona Science Center.
“We are very excited that KJZZ has catapulted in the morning drive time ratings from 12th to first place in just the three years, in great part due to General Manager Jim Paluzzi being at the helm of KJZZ,” says Dioguardi. “Our goal this year, as it was last, is to stay closely connected with the community and focus our efforts on continuing to raise community involvement. A key program to accomplish this is the launch this year of our Teen Radio Program in which we will give at-risk teens experience in producing radio shows.”
Since its formation in November 2001, FPRAZ has created and supported numerous programs for the benefit of public radio in Arizona. FPRAZ is a non-profit organization that supports and raises funds on behalf of the Phoenix area non-profit public radio stations KJZZ (FM 91.5) and KBAQ (FM 89.5).
