Fiesta Sports Foundation has launched Circle of Champions, a new premium, enterprise-level partnership platform designed to create exclusive, customized and deeper year-round engagement with a select group of organizations that share the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening Arizona communities. Phoenix Children’s joins Circle of Champions as the inaugural Founding Partner and the Foundation’s official Youth Health and Wellness Partner.

Circle of Champions marks an evolution beyond Fiesta Sports Foundation’s traditional sponsorship model. Circle of Champions partnerships are anchored by the naming rights of a signature Foundation event or program and deeply integrated year-round through customized activations into two or more additional Fiesta Sports Foundation initiatives, programs and hospitality experiences.
Fiesta Sports Foundation and Phoenix Children’s have partnered since 2011, with nearly $1 million in financial contributions to advance pediatric emergency and trauma care, inclusive play and innovative patient experiences. The longstanding relationship also includes more than 11 years of Give-A-Thon support, hospital visits, Fiesta Bowl Parade participation and other community efforts benefiting Arizona children and families.
“Circle of Champions is our premium partnership platform for organizations that want to connect their business, their people and their purpose to Arizona and to the Fiesta Sports Foundation in a deeper and more meaningful way than a simple sponsorship. Our approach with partners in this program is ‘what can we accomplish together’ rather than ‘what assets do you want to buy,’” said Erik Moses, Fiesta Sports Foundation Executive Director and CEO. “We often talk about the power of teamwork in sports, and to achieve big goals, you need committed teammates. Phoenix Children’s plays a pivotal role in Arizona and their addition to our community engagement platform will allow both organizations to achieve even greater success together.”
As Founding Partner, Phoenix Children’s will be integrated year-round across a range of Fiesta Sports Foundation initiatives, including the recent AED Assistance Program and Wellness Forum, Wishes for Teachers, youth football and flag football, patient and family experiences, and community engagement throughout the state. Naming rights for Phoenix Children’s signature event will be announced this fall.
“At Phoenix Children’s, we have a bold vision to improve the health of a generation,” said John R. Nickens IV, President and CEO of Phoenix Children’s. “Partnering with Fiesta Sports Foundation helps us reach even more children and families where they learn, play and grow. By working together to support the health and well-being of Arizona’s kids, we can help them build a healthy future.”
Circle of Champions further reflects the evolution of Fiesta Sports Foundation – an organization whose season never ends and whose impact lives on. Circle of Champions will identify perspective partners that believe in the shared purpose, want year-round participation and measurable outcomes. Because Circle of Champions partners will be involved in all aspects of the Fiesta Sports Foundation portfolio, they will have a higher level of engagement and value – resulting in more involvement and more frequency across more Foundation programs.
Organizations and companies that wish to learn more about being a Circle of Champions member should visit www.FiestaSportsFoundation.org/Feature/Circle or contact Bryce Hancock at bhancock@fiestasports.org or 602.501.5481.
Fiesta Sports Foundation has established a statewide, robust, year-round community engagement platform, providing $35 million in charitable funding to Arizona communities over the last 15 years and reaching all 15 Arizona counties and 22 tribal communities. The Foundation serves more than one million Arizonans and impacts more than 600,000 youth annually through live sporting events and charitable programs focused on youth, sports and education. Circle of Champions partners are positioned to plug directly into that platform, making a meaningful difference alongside the Foundation rather than building a community engagement program of their own.
