Abrazo West Campus and Abrazo Buckeye Emergency Center are collecting bottled water through Aug. 31 to help the needy cope with triple-digit temperatures.
“Arizona’s harsh summer weather conditions can be devastating to people who are unable to avoid them for long periods of time,’’ said Stan Holm, Abrazo West Campus Chief Executive Officer. “We are collecting water as a way to help keep people cool and hydrated. I commend our associates for seeking ways to embrace our community neighbors. I’m also proud of their passion to touch lives.’’
The public can drop off donations at the front desk at Abrazo West Campus (formerly West Valley Hospital), 13677 W. McDowell Road in Goodyear; and the Abrazo Buckeye Emergency Center (formerly West Valley Emergency Center), 525 S. Watson Road in Buckeye.
Employees at Abrazo West Campus and Abrazo Buckeye Emergency Center also are donating bottled water. In addition, the Buckeye Valley Fire Department has donated 100 cases of bottled water.
“The Buckeye Valley Fire Department’s donation will go a long way in helping our community,’’ Holm said. “It’s always an honor to connect with our pre-hospital partners on services like this.’’
Holm said the goal is to collect 1,000 cases of bottled water.
Bottled water will be donated to All Faith Community Services Food Bank and Resource Center. The Buckeye-based nonprofit group provides emergency food supplies, clothing and basic necessities to individuals and families.
