Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, Abrazo Central Campus and Abrazo West Campus each received an “A” grade in the latest hospital safety report card released today by The Leapfrog Group.
The reports provide consumers with information they may find useful in making informed decisions about their healthcare. Grades reflect how hospitals perform on specific process and outcome measures assessed by Leapfrog, a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C.
Abrazo’s Arrowhead, Central and West campuses were among 750 hospitals awarded an ‘A’ for efforts in protecting patients and meeting high safety standards. Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades are updated every spring and fall following assessments of more than 2,500 hospitals across the country.
“Leapfrog is considered by many as the gold standard for measuring patient care, and we are pleased to see Abrazo well-represented among the top-performing U.S. hospitals,” said Frank Molinaro, CEO of Abrazo Community Health Network. “As one of Arizona’s leading health providers, Abrazo strives to continually improve its performance in clinical care and patient satisfaction. It’s gratifying to see independent recognition of those efforts.”
Developed with the guidance of an expert panel, the peer reviewed grades are based on 27 measures of publicly available hospital safety data.
