Phoenix Children’s Hospital and UnitedHealthcare have renewed their network relationship, ensuring people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored, individual and Medicaid health plans have continued access to Phoenix Children’s facilities and employed physicians. This renewed relationship provides more than 1 million UnitedHealthcare plan participants with access to Phoenix Children’s health care providers and specialists. “UnitedHealthcare is one of the leading health benefit companies in the state, serving a great number of our patients,” said Doug Myers, CFO of Phoenix Children’s Hospital. “UnitedHealthcare recognizes and values the distinct care Phoenix Children’s provides. Our renewed relationship helps advance both organizations’ missions to serve our community’s health needs.” Phoenix Children’s offers a number of unique quality pediatric programs. These include Arizona’s only Level 1 pediatric trauma center, and the state’s only Level IIIc NICU and Neuro NICU. In addition, the hospital’s Phoenix Children’s Heart Center is one of only 11 programs in North America to receive a three-star rating, the highest available, by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. “Phoenix Children’s is an important community care provider, and our renewed relationship offers UnitedHealthcare plan participants and their families greater choice and access to quality, cost-effective care,” said Dave Allazetta, CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Arizona. “We appreciate collaborative relationships with care providers like Phoenix Children’s that are committed to improving the quality of care.” |
