The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) today celebrated the third anniversary of the Small Business Boot Camp, an award-winning program that connects entrepreneurs and small business leaders with local experts who provide support, guidance and resources through free weekly, educational webinars.

DEEPER DIVE: 16 effective digital marketing strategies for small businesses on a budget

Launched on April 27, 2020 as a planned six-week pandemic-related resource, the Small Business Boot Camp has become a sustaining resource for small businesses across Arizona. The success of the Boot Camp has led to the launch of Spanish-language Boot Camps in January 2023 to support Arizona’s Spanish-speaking business community. In addition, all previous Small Business Boot Camp sessions to date are available to view in the program’s Content Library on the ACA’s website.

The Small Business Boot Camp has hosted 276 sessions that included presentations from over 220 experts and was attended by more than 14,800 entrepreneurs from all 15 Arizona counties.

“The Small Business Boot Camp has become an invaluable resource to help Arizona small businesses reach their goals,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “The ACA is proud to see how this unique program has grown since 2020 – supporting thousands of entrepreneurs, especially those in rural communities. We are grateful to our partners and presenters for their support. We look forward to seeing the Boot Camp reach even more businesses and fuel entrepreneurial success in our state.”

Over the past three years, the Small Business Boot Camp has become a key resource for Arizona’s small business community. The sessions, which are held every Tuesday, cover topics relevant to business owners including managing finances, operational practices, employee management, marketing, sales, and strategies to overcome challenges.

Each session is presented by leading companies, universities, community college programs, nonprofits, and small business owners who are experts in their fields. Over 130 different companies have been represented as presenters on the bootcamp.

The ACA supports small businesses through its suite of programs including the Small Business Boot Camp, Small Business Digital Academy and Arizona Business One Stop.
