Proceeds from this award-winning event will help support the association’s mission and ongoing efforts to provide quality continuing education and scholarships for those professionals currently in the hospitality industry, as well as those pursuing a career in the field. After a short post-pandemic hiatus, we are thrilled to be able to partner with an official Charity of the Year for 2023. This year’s COY, Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona, actually shares many of the same values which power our Arizona hospitality industry:  resilience, bravery, connection, creativity, strength and innovation.  This organization impacts children’s lives by making them feel safe, encouraging them express themselves, and more!  We are so excited to be teaming up with Free Arts this year!

“We are so excited to join together with our friends, family and hospitality professionals to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit. This fun auction and party has been our signature fundraising event for 40 years and continues to grow in popularity. I have a feeling that this year will be one to remember. Please plan to join us in June.”  … Gerry Reed, 2023 President, HSMAI-Arizona

This fundraiser is a unique event combining silent auction and live auction bidding. Each guest will receive a list of items to be sold during the live auction, and a paddle with an individualized number. Each guest will then “bid” on items by placing one quarter in an individual bucket placed at the center of each table. The auctioneer will roam the room while announcing numbers on the guests’ paddles. Prizes include, golf outings, artwork, gift certificates for goods and services, signed sports memorabilia and weekend getaways to various destinations throughout the U.S., Hawaii and Mexico.

Tickets for this year’s event are available at early bird rates for only $95 per person, or $925 for a corporate table of ten. Early bird rate ends on June 1st. For more information, call Joanne Winter at 602-647-3039, or register at: hsmai-az.org.
