Roy Herrera Jr. joined Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Litigation Department in its Phoenix office. Herrera’s addition bolsters the firm’s political presence in the state capital, and adds Democratic heft to the firm’s political law group.

Herrera was previously an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice in Phoenix, where he investigated and prosecuted drug trafficking, alien smuggling and white collar crimes in federal court.

Prior to joining the firm, Herrera worked on the legislative staff of U.S. Congressman Ed Pastor (D-AZ) in Washington DC and as an associate at a New York litigation firm. Herrera has represented clients in a wide variety of complex litigation matters including securities fraud, shareholder, and consumer protection litigation. He earned his law degree from the New York University School of Law and his Bachelor of Business Administration from George Washington University.
