Shapiro Law Team recently announced the addition of Victor Nino and Scott Tillinghast to its team of attorneys dedicated to seeking justice for its clients. Nino and Tillinghast bring a wealth of experience in client-first advocacy and helping clients rebuild their lives after a serious injury.

Victor Nino

Nino attended Brophy College Preparatory before leaving Arizona to earn his undergraduate degree from Colgate University in upstate New York. He also earned Wilderness First Responder certification through Wilderness Medical Associates and NOLS. His commitment to safety, leadership, and personal development in the outdoors mirrors the focus and composure he brings to his legal practice today.

After graduating from Colgate in 2021, Nino returned home to Arizona and joined the Shapiro Law Team’s Settlement Department, where he gained firsthand experience of the diligent work required in every stage of a personal injury case—from intake through resolution. During that time, he developed a deep appreciation for the human stories behind each file and the importance of compassionate, results-driven advocacy.

Nino earned his law degree at Chicago-Kent College of Law in Illinois. During his studies he worked for one of the most prestigious personal injury firms in Chicago but once he earned his degree, he knew he wanted to come back to Arizona.

“I am honored to be joining the Shapiro Law Team and fighting for the community that I was born and raised in,” said Nino. “This is the most reputable firm in the Valley, and I am sure with our combined skills, no resident will be left unserved.”

Scott Tillinghast

Tillinghast sharpened his legal writing and courtroom readiness at ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where he earned the Law and Sustainability certificate and served as Executive Note and Comment Editor for the Corporate and Business Law Journal. He served as a TA in Legal Method & Writing, the cornerstone legal writing course for ASU’s first-semester law students. Before law, Tillinghast taught seventh grade social studies at Paradise Valley Unified School District from 2018 to 2022, an experience that shows up in the way he prepares witnesses, explains complex issues clearly, and meets clients where they are.

Tillinghast represents individuals and families in motor-vehicle collisions, wrongful death, premises liability, and other negligence cases. Days after being sworn into the Arizona Bar in October 2025, Tillinghast served as co-counsel on a $5 million verdict on behalf of a client struck head-on by a drunk driver, reinforcing his commitment to focused, client-first advocacy. Tillinghast chose the Shapiro Law Team for the same reason clients do: a trial-ready culture that prioritizes preparation, clarity, and results. A lifelong Arizonan, Tillinghast is proud to serve clients across the Valley and throughout the state.

“Being a part of Shapiro Law Team is an honor,” said Tillinghast. “The experience and knowledge they will share with me will not only prepare me for my career but also help expand my services to Valley residents.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Victor and Scott to our team,” said David Shapiro, CEO and founder of Shapiro Law Team. “We are confident that these new lawyers understand the needs of our Valley residents. Their fresh ambition is exactly what we need to help our clients feel supported and get the justice they deserve.”
