What it does: Mental health and substance use treatment

Admirable trait: Terros Health’s impact is undeniable: the organization touches more than 45,000-plus people each year. With a staff of 824, the company’s goal is to help end homelessness, eradicate HIV, reduce deaths from drug overdoses — and most of all — instill hope.

Community impact: Peer-trained individuals in the Terros Health Families F.I.R.S.T. program contribute their time to the Arizona Department of Child Safety’s Parents’ Board. And during the holiday season, employees give back to the organization’s Children’s Services, Community Prevention and Serious Mental Illness (SMI) Recovery Centers through donation drives. Such efforts support grant-funded programs while keeping employee morale high and fortifying the bond between Terros Health staff and the community.
