Abelina Madrigal, project director and associate, Butler Design Group
BACKGROUND: Possessing over 19 years in the Architectural industry, Abby has gained a wide range of knowledge including office, industrial, TI, and retail. She has contributed to remarkable developments such as SkySong III, IV, V, and VI, medical office buildings, and large-scale industrial projects like DSG, REI, Ferrero Chocolate, Daimler, XPO, and others along the 303 in Goodyear. Abby has been a vital part of Butler Design Group since 2006.
CAREER PATH INSPIRATION: “The inspiration behind my career path in Architecture did not start until I was in high school when I was exposed to an Architectural class at a Technical High School. Walking through the classroom and seeing all the architectural models and blueprints sparked my interest in architecture that I did not even know I had.”
SOURCE OF PRIDE: “I have been with Butler Design Group for 17 years, which is a great accomplishment on its own. But what brings me the most pride is being the only female in the Associate position. I’ve had great mentors who have supported my growth and shaped the person I am today. I hope to be an inspiration to others, especially the women in our industry.”
SOURCE OF INSPIRATION: “I would like to give credit to Jeff Cutberth, Korey Wilkes, Rick Butler, and Toby Rogers for their tremendous support, patience, and mentorship throughout my professional journey here at BDG. Thank you for seeing my potential early on and investing your time in me.”
