Angela Hood, vice president of development, P.B. Bell
BACKGROUND: Angela Hood, vice president of development at P.B. Bell, is responsible for managing all P.B. Bell development projects from entitlements through issuance of building permits. This includes due diligence, underwriting, design, budgets, city submittals and utility coordination. Angela rejoined P.B. Bell in 2022, with nearly 30 years’ experience in development and construction.
CAREER PATH INSPIRATION: “I have always loved construction and the creative process of developing neighborhoods and communities. My fascination with civil engineering started at an early age. I asked a lot of questions like, ‘Where does the water come from in the kitchen faucet and then where does it go?’ Which then ended up leading to several more questions.”
SOURCE OF PRIDE: “I am very proud of how hard I have worked to diversify my experience and background. I pride myself on having experience in most facets of real estate development, including accounting, land-banking and construction.”
SOURCE OF INSPIRATION: “Justin Steltenpohl – I am extremely fortunate to have a mentor and boss that not only praises my experience and skill, but also encourages me to grow in any direction that I am curious about.”
SURPRISING FACT: “I’m an adrenaline junky and love anything fast. I fell in love with my husband after riding on the back of a motorcycle while doing a wheelie. I have done aerobatics several times in a no engine glider plane, sky dived on multiple occasions, and love rollercoasters … the faster the better.”
