Today’s spotlight: Geri Mingura

Associate general manager and chief human resources executive

SRP

SRP named Mingura as its associate general manager and chief human resources executive in January. Prior to that, Mingura served as Vice President for People & Culture at ON Semiconductor, where she helped elevate the HR organization for the company’s 36,000 employees located around the world. Those efforts included strengthening its workforce learning and development training, leading its culture initiative, guiding strategic planning and building their diversity and inclusion practices.

Lesson learned in 2020: “People are resilient and adaptable. SRP employees pivoted quickly to develop solutions to continue to serve our customers and community. I’m proud and amazed by our employees’ innovation and all they achieved, remotely and quickly. The pandemic reinforced the importance of supporting employees, being open, flexible and letting them demonstrate how awesome they are.”

Source of pride: “It is a great feeling to see people succeed. I am most proud of developing people and helping them achieve their career aspirations. I once hired an engineer into an HR position. The employee had passion and potential and became an excellent HR professional who successfully moved up into a senior leadership role.”

Surprising fact: “I love American muscles cars. I once traveled to Las Vegas to drive a NASCAR at the Richard Petty Driving Experience. I love fast cars and have always favored the Chevy Camaro. To my surprise, my top speed around the racetrack was in a Dodge Challenger, not the Camaro. It was a great experience.”
