Lisa Heppler, principal, executive vice president, business insurance, Lovitt & Touché
BACKGROUND: With 40 years of diverse business insurance experience, Lisa Heppler serves as executive vice president overseeing the Risk Management Group at Lovitt & Touche a Marsh McLennan Agency LLC. The Risk Management Group is inclusive of Client Executives, Claims & Risk Control Divisions. Her role is to develop colleagues, mentoring, service execution and budget management.
CAREER PATH INSPIRATION: “I’m one of the rare individuals who actually chose to go into the insurance industry rather than stumble into it. I initially studied marketing in college but was feeling uninspired by the subject. Around that time, I started working for an agency that sold horse insurance. Soon after, I switched my major to insurance — when Arizona State University still offered it — and never looked back. I’ve been in the industry ever since and have enjoyed working with so many great clients & colleagues.”
SOURCE OF PRIDE: “In 2020, I was promoted to a principal at Marsh McLennan Agency, the parent company of Lovitt & Touché. MMA principals are an elite group of professionals who consistently demonstrate a high level of performance above and beyond their peers. After 40 years, I see this as a crowning achievement to my career.”
SOURCE OF INSPIRATION: “I have had the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by three well-regarded agency owners throughout my career: Wick Pilcher with Pilcher Insurance, Mike Bill with MJ Insurance and Charlie Touché with Lovitt & Touché. Each one gave me the opportunity to strive, improve and grow in my career.”
SURPRISING FACT: “My husband Michael always encourages me to push myself and try new things. Never one to turn down a challenge, at various points over the years, I’ve participated in women’s bodybuilding, competed in Iron Man triathlons and taken ballroom dancing lessons.”
