Chairman named for NAIOP Arizona Developing Leaders 

Cooper Fratt of CBRE has been named 2018 Chairman for the NAIOP Arizona Developing Leaders. Fratt, a DL member since 2011, began his career at CBRE in 2008 as a researcher. He currently is an industrial property sales and leasing specialist. 

I’ve been fortunate enough to work under two great Developing Leader Chairmen in Jenna Borcherding and Chris Marchildon,” Fratt said. “We have a great year planned in 2018. My goal is to build upon the success and foundation put in place by Jenna and Chris. Our next event is the NAIOP DL’s spring training baseball game on March 2, which is always a favorite. Throughout the year we will continue to expand our philanthropic events as well, and those details should be finalized very soon.”

Other DL events scheduled for 2018 include the award-winning Mentor Program, a bowling outing, the signature Rookies & Rockstars evening, networking happy hours, holiday party, and the educational speaker series

MRA Associates announces new partner

MRA Associates, one of the Valley’s leading independent investment and wealth management firms, recently announced the promotion of Mike Hirte to partner. 

Hirte joined MRA Associates in 2017 as a senior tax manager. He has been responsible for delivering tax services to the firm’s individual clients and their businesses. In his new role as partner, Hirte will lead and oversee the day-to-day management of the firm’s tax practice as he continues to work with clients on prioritizing their goals, addressing their complex tax planning needs, and delivering timely tax returns.

Arcadis names Justin Wright as CIO

Arcadis announces the appointment of Justin Wright as chief information officer for its North and Latin America regions. Wright joined Arcadis in 2007 and brings 20 years of professional experience in the design, consulting, real estate, and aviation industries.

With two decades as a successful leader, Wright brings a wealth of expertise delivering innovative, technology-based solutions for companies and clients across multiple geographies and industry sectors. 

In his new role, Wright joins Arcadis’ global information technology (IT) leadership team to oversee regional IT operations while defining and implementing a progressive digital strategy for the firm and its clients.

UMB Bank promotes Andrew Baccaro

UMB Bank, n.a., a subsidiary of UMB Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: UMBF), announces it has promoted Andrew Baccaro to commercial relationship manager in Phoenix. In his role, he is responsible for developing new commercial business while managing existing relationships to ensure credit and portfolio quality.

Prior to his promotion, Baccaro was a commercial portfolio manager. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Baccaro is active in the community volunteering with The First Tee of Phoenix and Valley of the Sun United Way.

MIHS names new CFO

Maricopa Integrated Health System, a community public teaching hospital and safety net system of care, has named Richard “Rich” Mutarelli as its new Chief Financial Officer. He replaces Kathy Benaquista, who retired in December.

Mr. Mutarelli brings more than 40 years of experience in health care financial leadership, spanning both private and non-profit settings. He most recently was CEO of Heart of Florida Health Center, a system of Federally Qualified Health Centers in Central Florida. In this role, Mr. Mutarelli helped grow the Health Center to eight locations, while expanding services and improving access to healthcare for underinsured and uninsured populations.
