On the heels of adding major firepower to its already strong Brokerage Services Team, Plaza Companies has been awarded the leasing and brokerage services for a large medical office portfolio in Metro Phoenix.

Plaza Companies has been selected to lease this significant portfolio, which is more than 795,000 SF.

A large portion of the portfolio, which will be served by Plaza’s Michael Morton and the Plaza brokerage team, is formerly owned by Scottsdale Healthcare and near and on the Scottsdale Healthcare Shea, Thompson Peak, and Osborn campuses.

A major portion of the portfolio’s properties in Phoenix, Chandler, Mesa and Scottsdale will be overseen by Megan Sherwood and Perry Gabuzzi of Plaza.

Tom Sadvary, CEO of Scottsdale Healthcare, said that the addition of the Plaza team will be helpful to Scottsdale Healthcare’s effort to attract and retain quality physicians in the community.

“Plaza Companies not only has a reputation for excellence in the medical office industry for more than three decades, but it is involved in the community in significant ways,” he said. “Scottsdale Healthcare is pleased that Plaza will be working with the landlords and the physicians that serve our region and patients.”

Combined, the 15 new properties significantly expand the overall Plaza Companies leasing portfolio throughout the Valley of the Sun. It also expands Plaza’s already strong footprint in Scottsdale, where it is the developer and manager of SkySong, The ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, leases and manages several existing medical office properties, and is the developer and partner of both Vi at Grayhawk and Vi at Silverstone, signature Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC’s) in north Scottsdale.

Sharon Harper, president & CEO of Plaza Companies, said the addition of the portfolio is a direct result of Plaza’s overall experience and embeddedness in the Phoenix medical office marketplace.

“We are very pleased to work on these signature properties and are confident we will achieve great results in leasing these impressive facilities,” Harper said, “Plaza Companies values the experience and reputation the company has built over the past three decades and it is very gratifying to see great property owners trust Plaza Companies to serve their properties. We are committed to the success of their buildings and their tenants.”
