The Arizona Diamondbacks have the lowest Fan Cost Index ($132.10) in Major League Baseball for the 10th consecutive season in a row, according to a Team Marketing Report.
The D-backs finished almost $88 below the industry average of $219.53. The Fan Cost Index is a representative look at the costs for a family of four to attend a MLB game. It has been computed annually by Team Marketing Report since 1991 and is comprised of four average tickets, two beers, four soft drinks, four hot dogs, parking for one car and two adult-sized hats.
The Arizona Diamondbacks’ average ticket price of $18.53 for the 2016 season ranked lowest among all Major League clubs. The D-backs are nearly $13 below the MLB average ticket price of $31.00 in 2016. The D-backs Value Pack allows fans to purchase an Infield Reserve or Bleacher ticket, regular-size hot dog or a Subway sandwich, 24-ounce Pepsi and a cookie from Subway for just $21 and $25, respectively, to any regular-season game at Chase Field.
“It is our goal to always be one of the most affordable and fan friendly teams in not only MLB, but among all professional sports teams,” said D-backs President and CEO Derrick Hall. “We take great pride in having the lowest Fan Cost Index in baseball year after year and are particularly proud to offer affordable pricing for families to enjoy a game.”
All-You-Can-Eat Seats are available starting at $35 and include unlimited access to ballpark traditions such as hot dogs, chips, popcorn, peanuts, water and Pepsi soft drinks in a special section on the Diamond Level.
The D-backs also offer Value Item pricing on six food items ranging from $2-$4.25 at various concession locations and several merchandise items priced below $10 are available at Team Shop locations throughout Chase Field. The team’s magazine, D-backs Insider, and Spanish publication, La Cueva, are also distributed free to all fans in the ballpark during each homestand.
